Who We Are

We are sisters, mothers, daughters, wives, and friends all working together for one common goal: to enrich the lives of others through volunteer service.

Founded in 1961, the Long Valley Junior Women’s Club has been enhancing the lives of those living in Long Valley, Hackettstown and Mount Olive communities through it’s fundraising and hands-on service activities.

2007 marks the Club’s 45th anniversary as a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs an international women’s organization whose mission is to support and offer guidance to club members in their quest to act locally to create global change through volunteer service. We are affiliated with the
New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs of GFWC - Junior Membership, which is a statewide organization providing leadership tools, education, training and networking opportunities for New Jersey’s junior women’s club members who are committed to individual growth and community involvement by enriching the quality of life throughout New Jersey and the world while forming lasting bonds with other women.

We strive to accomplish these goals through our Arts, Health, Home Life, Education, Conservation, International Affairs and C.A.R.E. departments, to name a few.

What We Do

To serve a community diverse in age, interests and experiences, we strive to provide programs that will unify and enhance the lives of all of those living in our communities as well as to provide fun activities for our members and their families. We do this by offering a variety of programs such as, but not limited to, our Children’s Arts and Recreation Enrichment Program (C.A.R.E.), senior citizen lunches, picnics and nursing home activities, foster care donation collections, coat drives, food pantry donations, Easter egg hunts, Snack with Santa, Turn-Off-the-T.V. week, scholarships, photo contests, Read-A-thons, Spell-A-thons, blood drives, and so much more. For details on all of our programs, please see our Programs link.

A great many of our fundraising and special projects allow us to allocate both monetary and special project donations to a large and diverse group of organizations benefiting our community and world as a whole. These include Educational donations to our schools, Public Health and Safety donations to organizations such as our local fire, police and first aid squads, battered women’s shelters, and cancer research organizations; and other Community Services organizations such as our recreational athletic programs, public library, local food pantries, and community senior center. A few of our more recent special projects have allowed us to donate new pianos to all local elementary schools, defibulators to schools, and CPR training equipment to our police department. Please click on Projects and Events for details on both past and current projects.
